Women’s Integration in International Logistics

  • 6 de March de 2026

International logistics has historically been a demanding, technical, and deeply structured industry. For much of its development, it was also a predominantly male space, reflecting a global reality in which women’s access to positions of responsibility was conditioned by cultural and structural barriers that shaped entire generations.

March 8 invites us to reflect on that history with respect and awareness. Not as an isolated symbolic occasion, but as an opportunity to recognize the processes that made it possible to move toward a more integrated, more conscious industry, better prepared to face the challenges of a constantly transforming world. It is also a date that reminds us that the spaces that exist today were made possible thanks to the work, determination, and conviction of many women who contributed to opening paths where there were none before.

The evolution of logistics has not been only technological or operational. It has also been a deeply human evolution. Since its beginnings 26 years ago, International Line has built its development on the foundation of a clear conviction: organizations are strengthened when they integrate different perspectives, different capabilities, and different ways of understanding the responsibility involved in participating in a global industry. This vision does not arise from a trend nor does it respond to a specific context. It has been part of its essence from the start, forming a natural part of its culture and its way of building the company.

This conviction has been consolidated organically. Today, 70.59% of the team in Peru is made up of women, and in Chile participation reaches 50%. Beyond the percentages, what is truly significant is the role they play, actively participating in strategic, commercial, and technical areas, contributing with their judgment, their experience, and their responsibility to the development and sustainability of the organization.

In an industry where complexity is constantly increasing, leadership requires precision, vision, and a deep understanding of the impact that every decision generates. Integration is not a slogan nor a circumstantial response. It is the result of a culture built with coherence, where respect for people and trust in their abilities have been fundamental pillars over time.

March 8 represents, above all, a moment for reflection. An opportunity to recognize the path traveled, to understand the historical context that made it necessary, and to reaffirm the value of continuing to build organizations where talent and responsibility find their space naturally.

Because the companies that manage to transcend are those that build their identity with coherence, integrating their convictions over time and projecting them responsibly into the future.

At International Line and Asia Line Perú, this vision is part of their history, their present, and their future projection, contributing consciously and responsibly to the development of an industry that continues to evolve. Both companies are part of the same business group, committed to the responsible and conscious development of international logistics.
