With strategy, traceability, and a global operational vision: International Line strengthens its leadership in air logistics

  • 25 de July de 2025

In a market that demands competitive lead times and continuous replenishment, air logistics is no longer just an emergency solution. It has become a strategic tool for sensitive products, critical supplies, commercial campaigns, and synchronized launches.

In an environment where logistical efficiency has become a key factor for business continuity, air transport has regained prominence as a crucial pillar in international supply chains. In response to this reality, International Line—a Chilean integrated logistics company with international presence—has solidified its leadership in this segment, offering Chilean companies agile, traceable solutions aligned with the demands of today’s global trade.

The company has strengthened its air cargo division with a highly specialized team, led by Andrea Pérez Contreras, Air Freight Commercial Lead, and supported in operations by Joel Quintanilla Araos, Customer Air Cargo. Together, they lead a technical and personalized service model that connects Chile with major global logistics hubs. “Today, air freight is not just about speed—it’s about strategy: anticipating scenarios, evaluating routes, and supporting clients in making well-informed logistics decisions,” explains Andrea Pérez.

This approach, she emphasizes, has enabled them to consistently serve companies in the retail, technology, pharmaceutical, automotive, manufacturing, and e-commerce sectors that require fast solutions without sacrificing control or visibility.

Operational Shifts

Over the past 18 months, air transport has undergone structural transformations. Pressure on global hubs, airline route redesigns, high post-pandemic demand, and geopolitical impacts have created a new reality: more volatile, more technical, and with greater demands for advance planning.

In this scenario, International Line has responded with a robust offering, capable of adapting to global market conditions. Among the trends observed, Andrea Pérez notes:

  • From Asia, the Guangzhou–Santiago route currently experiences longer transit times (5–6 days) due to multiple stopovers. In contrast, options from Shanghai, Shenzhen, or Xiamen offer greater regularity.
  • From Europe, Madrid and Frankfurt maintain stable operations, although space allocation varies weekly based on aircraft availability.
  • From Miami—one of the most used points for South America—seasonal demand creates bottlenecks, especially during high-turnover weeks. The use of dedicated cargo services has been key to maintaining continuity and traceability.

“These changes don’t pose a threat—they represent a new reality where technical knowledge, responsiveness, and global logistics coordination define the success of each operation,” the executive emphasizes.

Information, Flexibility, and Technical Service

International Line’s air transport offering is built on three pillars: anticipation, diversification, and monitoring. Its advantages include: an international network of updated agents, with early visibility into space availability, restrictions, and contingencies at origin; a wide range of available routes and airlines, including efficient connections via Lima, Bogotá, Panama, Madrid, or Miami; door-to-door service with technical advice on permits, packaging, insurance, and customs clearance based on cargo profile; and post-flight operational monitoring focused on traceability, controlled deliveries, and direct communication with each client.

This structure has enabled International Line to uphold a standard of efficient, technically sound service adapted to the complexities of today’s international trade. With active presence in major global origins, logistics agreements with international airlines, and a team with a global operational vision, the company is projecting sustained growth in its air service throughout 2025—strengthening its role as a strategic partner for companies seeking flexibility without losing control. “Our focus isn’t just flying fast, but supporting well. Every air shipment is a critical decision. That’s why we operate with data, expertise, and commitment,” Pérez concludes.
